Scooby's Story...
"Scooby" is a cute 4-month old male Shepherd mix puppy who arrived at the HSOV on August 15, 2015 after he was picked up in Belpre, Ohio by the Washington County Dog Warden. This beautiful baby boy has a tan short smooth coat, a long tail, and an adorable puppy face with a black muzzle and large floppy ears. "Scooby" is full of playful puppy energy and doesn't seem to have a serious bone in his tiny body :) .. Which is why puppies are so much fun!! "Scooby" is very affectionate and gives great puppy kisses. This little charmer currently weighs 15.2 lbs. He will be available for adoption on August 18, 2015 if he is not reclaimed before that date.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Scooby, a Marietta Shepherd (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
