Don Juan's Story...
Don Juan, or DJ so the ladies don't get the wrong idea, is one of the sweetest cats you'll ever meet. He doesn't require much, just some occasional belly rubs and a cat dancer toy here 'n there. Oh, and if you're watching TV, particularly Dr. Phil, he'd appreciate it if you left it on til the end. He's a big fan. If you're looking for a low-maintenance buddy to share your lazy Saturdays with, DJ is the perfect roomie. Come meet him today! Don Juan was born in 2011 and is fiv/felv positive so needs to be in a home as an only kitty or with another positive cat.

If you are interested in learning more about DJ, or know someone who might be interested, please contact Toni McNaughton at tonimcn@rcn.com or Lisa Ward at catladychicago@yahoo.com. We answer all emails promptly. If you have not received a reply from us within 24 hours, please check your spam folder.

We are always in need of foster homes. If you are not able to adopt, but are interested in fostering or know someone who might be, we would love to hear from you! Please contact Toni McNaughton at tonimcn@rcn.com or Lisa Ward at catladychicago@yahoo.com to learn more.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Don Juan, a Chicago Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
