My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lauren Holly is an adult red, smooth coat beauty. Her fur feels like velvet and her personality is playful and loving. She weighs in around 12lbs, is ~7 yrs old, and has the most beautiful brown eyes. When people meet her, the first words they utter are, "Awe! She is sooo cute!"

She adores people, loves to go for walks and plays well with her foster fur siblings. We are not sure about cats but does not wander off when she sees a squirrel. She sleeps in her crate all night without a peep. She is not destructive and does not chew anything other than her toys.

Because she was not given the care and direction she needed prior to coming into the DREAM family, her foster momma is working with her on her potty manners. She is pee pad trained and is making progress in learning the outside world is not a scary place. We also believe she should be in home that does not have small children.

Lauren Holly will thrive in a home that provides a lot of love, structure and guidance. A nice soft place next to you and her world will be perfectly complete.

If you are interested in adopting Lauren Holly, you can fill out an application right on our website! Go to dreamhappytails.org/adoptform.shtml. Lauren Holly's adoption fee is $375.00. All adoption fees go directly to veterinary care for DREAM dachshunds. Lauren Holly will go to her new home microchipped, altered, heartworm tested, and up to date on vaccinations. Most dogs' veterinary expenses are greater than our adoption fees.
DREAM is an all-volunteer rescue group, and we focus on the Atlanta, North Georgia and Savannah area. Because we are all volunteers, we can consider applications only within an hour of these areas. DREAM does not recommend purebred dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a doxie's back.
