My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Chauncey and I'm already your best friend even though we haven't met. I have a lot of hobbies that you may be interested in sharing with me -- my favorites include climbing into laps, sleeping next to you, and exploring the park. I'm an expert at leashes but also know some basic commands and have a strong interest in whatever it is you have to say. I have been told by other doxies that I'm a great cuddler and that I have a great attitude. My left eye doesn't see very well and I've been looking into some excellent patch options, but I'm a confident pup and for now I'm happy to let everyone know me for who I am. I'm not allowed to give out my cell phone number, but please let DREAM know you'd like to meet so I can wag my tail a bunch.

If you are interested in adopting Chauncey, you can fill out an application right on our website! Go to dreamhappytails.org/adoptform.shtml. Chauncey 's adoption fee is $450. All adoption fees go directly to veterinary care for DREAM dachshunds. Chauncey will go to his new home microchipped, altered, heartworm tested, and up to date on vaccinations. Most dogs' veterinary expenses are greater than our adoption fees.

DREAM is an all-volunteer rescue group, and we focus on the Atlanta, North Georgia and Savannah area. Because we are all volunteers, we can consider applications only within an hour of these areas. DREAM does not recommend purebred dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a doxie's back.
