Buddy's Story...
Check out this stud! Buddy is a 3 year old Black-Mouth Cur/Retriever mix. His previous owners could no longer keep him because they could not afford a dog, so Buddy is more than ready to find his forever home. Buddy is extremely sweet, loving, and playful. Buddy is great with kids, and although he has done well around other dogs in the past, we suggest a meet and greet with any potential dog friends for him. Buddy loves to give affection and also enjoys playing outside, where he will need a yard with a secure fence. Unfortunately, Buddy is heartworm positive- however, treatment is covered thanks to generous donations. Come by and meet this handsome, loving, and sweet boy at Waggin' Tails Adoption Center! We are open daily from 12-6pm.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buddy, a Benbrook Retriever (Unknown Type)/Black Mouth Cur dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Retriever (Unknown Type)/Black Mouth Cur for sale in Benbrook, or seeking a Retriever (Unknown Type)/Black Mouth Cur dog from a breeder in Benbrook.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Benbrook already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Benbrook breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Retriever (Unknown Type)/Black Mouth Cur breeders who help with Retriever (Unknown Type)/Black Mouth Cur rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Benbrook paves the way for another one to be saved.
