Dudley's Story...

Lap Cuddle? Don’t Mind If I Do!

I may be ITTY BITTY and very SHY, but if you give me some TIME and with some patience, you’ll see me blossom and I’ll repay you with TRUST and LOVE. I’ll always tell you…

Ain’t  no mountain high enough,

Ain’t no valley low enough,

Ain’t no river wide enough

To keep me from getting to you!

When I start to feel safe with you, I’ll even roll over and invite you to rub my belly. I appreciate warm beds and a human buddy to sleep next to…I’m itty bitty and I won’t take up much space!

I like other dogs of all sizes, cats and of course people!

I’m 7-years-old, which isn’t very old at all for a small dog! In fact, I’m in the prime of my life! I’m neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and even crate trained!

My adoption fee is $100, but a friendship like this is truly priceless!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dudley, a Truckee Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Truckee, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Truckee.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Truckee already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Truckee breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Truckee paves the way for another one to be saved.
