My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Do you want the happiest girl in the world to be your forever beagle? That’s me! Adele! It is SO easy to make me happy! I love hugs and pets and just keep coming back for more. I adore people! There are no strangers in this world, just friends I haven’t met yet! And I adore playing with my foster brothers! I love dogs! And cats! Foster mom says I am just plain adorable, and that the world revolves around me. Oops- she didn’t actually say that last part, I just think everyone should know that the world revolves around me.

And I love food! I love food! I love food! I will steal my brother’s dinner if I get the chance! In fact, foster mom says I was overweight when she got me, but with her help I’ve now trimmed down to my beautiful, fit self. Who needs a gym when you can play instead! At my normal weight, I am on the smaller side of beagle types.

But I guess life isn’t all fun and games I am still kind of working on housetraining, and I’m trying my best not to have accidents in the house. I also don’t like the rain much, and won’t go out in it if I don’t have to. Thunderstorms are especially frightening for me!

When Midwest BREW picked me up and had the vet check me out, they found several mammary tumors. They biopsied, then removed 4 of them. (Similar to breast cancer in humans). The vet is keeping a close eye on the remaining ones, and my forever home will need to also. There is still a small spot that looks suspicious, and I need to be monitored for the progression of the tumors with blood work and radiographs. Foster mom can tell you more about that. Other than that, though, and especially for my age, the vet says I am in excellent health.

I know I can give you lots of joy and furry hugs! I can’t wait to share my happiness with my forever home! Could that be you?
