Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Forest is a four year old neutered male “bagle” that was lucky enough to be saved and make it up on the transport to northern Illinois since the staff and volunteers loved him so much at animal control after he was found as a stray in southern Indiana. What’s not to love about a beagle mixed with a basset hound aka “bagle”!! Forest is a very friendly, medium sized dog who would make a great family pet. He loves people, dogs and is also great with the resident cat. He does love having a big back yard to sniff and will occasional give that hound dog bark when he gets on the scent of a rascally rabbit or when he’s excited and wants someone to play with him. He loves toys and will bring them to his doggie and people friends to try and get them to play. He is housetrained and loves to sleep right through the night on his foster mom’s bed with no accidents. Although he does love to play and go for walks, he is content to curl up on the couch with his foster family and watch tv at night when it’s time to settle down. I think he would love to go to a family where he would have another canine friend to keep him company and play with, but he would also likely be just fine in an active family as an only dog getting all their love and attention! Forest is up to date on shots and neutered. His adoption fee is $200. If you would like more information or an opportunity to meet Forest, please contact Kim at ksb673@sbcglobal.net or 815-342-0967.
