Buster is an energetic 2 year old male Australian Cattle Dog. This athletic boy would be a great candidate for running an agility course, runs along the river or hiking in the hills. He is smart and learns very quickly; always eager to please.
Buster has a great personality and loves affection. He is great with other dogs who like to run and play; however he needs a home without cats. This spunky boy loves children, but due to his energy level would be best in a home with children 8 and older. Buster needs an active home that can keep him physically and mentally stimulated, helping him be at his best.
Buster LOVES to play with toys and does fairly well at fetch. He also enjoys packing around and chewing on Nylabones. Buster knows a few basic commands (sit, come, leave it, go lay down) and is working on more. He greets new things with enthusiasm and gusto. Buster is house trained and will go to his crate if you tell him to do so. His foster Mom is working on his leash skills with him and he is almost perfect now. He is so motivated by praise and treats that he can learn anything you want him to; the sky is the limit with this boy. But remember that Buster is a herding dog and can be stubborn, but thrives on consistency.
Want to go for a ride in the car? Buster is all for it; he is a great passenger, although sometimes he will lie his head on your shoulder and nuzzle in for some snuggle time.
At the end of the day when you want to relax, he will happily lay by your feet or on the couch with you with his head in your lap. He really loves to snuggle and get attention so he will lay as close to you as he can; we can’t get over what a nice boy he is.
Buster has yet to meet a person he does not like; give him a little attention and he will be in your lap in no time if you let him!
Buster is neutered, current on his vaccinations and microchipped.
