My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Faith is an incredibly cute ball of cottony fur that climbs into your heart (and lap) with a hug and a wag. She desperately needs a sudsy bath and grooming...once she has her spa day, Faith will absolutely be one of the cutest girls around. At about 24 months old and just 5 lbs...Faith is such a perfect size and age. There couldn't be a better lap-dog..she's a tiny girl who fits exactly right. Faith is old enough to have left puppyish behavior behind. She's respectful of her home and clean about herself.

Faith can get that burst of puppy energy...fun and active....but at the same time she is a very well-behaved dog who is not needy or unnecessarily vocal - she usually expresses herself with a wagging tail and excited kisses. At this point in Faith's development, she loves everyone, but can be initially shy or timid. We want to nurture a positive vision of the world by matching Faith to a family who expresses their love for her in many different ways.

This cute little scruffy girl will follow you around the house because she LOVES people. She is learning to walk on a leash and some at the shelter have reported seeing her dance when happy...so cute! Faith enjoys her small-breed friends at the shelter and prefers her play-time with them instead of the big and pushier dogs. She will be an amazing best friend and sweet lap-dog to a very lucky family!

Right now, Faith is a blank slate who will soak up positive feedback with every effort to be the best behaved dog around. We think Faith would be great with very gentle older children (12+ would be great) or with an adult family who will include her in their activities. Faith is so portable that she can easily be a constant companion - she would love nothing more than walks, trips to the store (she's a great window-shopping friend) or even a place at a pet-friendly workplace. Faith is young enough that she can be introduced to virtually any situation...and if there is love and gentle guidance with patience...she can succeed.

Faith's new family has to have the excitement to make a long-term commitment to this special girl with the great temperament. She requires behavioral guidance and tons of love (like every dog) to keep her positive attitude, bravery and love of life an active part of her personality.

Faith appears to be a non-shedding dog (it's difficult to know for certain until her dull shelter hair grows out to be replaced by a healthy and cotton-soft new coat). Grace will require sudsy baths (her striking coat is charcoal black with pure white running through it), periodic grooming and great nutrition (a daily Salmon Oil supplement would be a great addition) to keep her coat cottony-soft and matt-free.

Farfel's has requested that Faith be spayed prior to her transport to Denver. We're not optimistic that this will occur. Farfel's is happy to cover all costs for Faith's spay and microchip upon her arrival in Colorado if our Denver vet is used.

Farfel's Rescue is very excited to participate in finding this special dog her forever family. Applications are currently being accepted for the adorable Faith. If interested in this devoted and sweet...and often very entertaining companion, please fill out an application at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/ and submit to farfelsapps@gmail.com.
