Bella's Story...
Bella is a sweet, adult dog who has found herself in need of a new home. She has been through professional training to help her gain confidence and overcome some of her pre-existing fear issues. She is a little shy at first, but once she knows you Bella is a gentle and loving dog. She gets along with other dogs and knows many commands. Her ideal home would be one with a consistent routine and structure. She walks very well on the leash, is crate trained and house trained. Bella's foster continues the trainer's routine in her home and the trainer will also help a new family with Bella's transition into a permanent home. Bella needs time and space in new situations, so a loving and patient family will be her ideal home. Once she has a little time to get comfortable in her environment she is an amazingly sweet and very smart dog. For more information about Bella, please email info@habitat4paws.org.

**Because we require home visits, we only adopt local to the Dallas/Fort Worth area. For more on our adoption policies, please see the Adopt page of our website, www.habitat4paws.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bella, a McKinney Labrador Retriever/Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Greyhound for sale in McKinney, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Greyhound dog from a breeder in McKinney.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in McKinney already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a McKinney breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Greyhound breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in McKinney paves the way for another one to be saved.
