My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**Cooper is located in the Aurora, IL area**

Cooper is 3 months old. He is a Spaniel Terrier mix and he is a very Special puppy. Please take a seat while you read his story.
One day a friend of an IAR Volunteer was walking his dog. He & his dog noticed this “garbage” was moving. The dog got intrigued so they checked it out. It wasn’t garbage but an innocent puppy. He was dumped there. Someone left this poor, innocent puppy in a pile of garbage & debris. So this kind soul picked him up and took him home. He cleaned up him, fed and while he called our IAR Volunteer to see what needed to be done Cooper was playing with his dog. Thinking we were doing the right thing we called the shelter; it was the Holiday weekend. We were hoping he had a chip which he did not. While at the shelter the staff noticed Cooper’s walk was a little off so they had him x-rayed for any injuries. They thought he may have been hit by a car so they took x-rays, but it didn't show any broken bones. When we pulled him from the shelter the minute his stay hold was up we took him to our vets for examination. Our vet confirmed that Cooper was orthopedically fine. It is suspected that Cooper may have a mild neurological issue. We do know that Cooper is not in any pain, and his wobbliness is actually endearing.
Cooper walk is a little wobbly at first. But once he starts walking he doesn’t stop. Once he gains his puppy steam he “hops”. It’s actually quite adorable. You might actually think of the tune “The Bunny Hop”. Please don’t let Cooper’s wobbliness stop you from meeting this adorable puppy. He has the prettiest Hazel eyes that if his story doesn’t make you fall in love with him; his eyes will.

Cooper is located in his foster home in Aurora. To fill out an adoption application, please visit our website at: www.illinoisanimalrescue.org . Any questions regarding Cooper’s walking ability, wobbliness please inquire with his foster Mom.
