Hello! My name is Little Man and my foster mom says I’m a great catch! My former owner had to go away, so I ended up at this great place with two other doxies AND a cat! I get along great with everyone, wrestling with my two buddies and trying to sniff the cat who is really big and sometimes swipes at me. I just say whatever! The fenced in backyard is great as I love to explore or just lay in the sun. I love when someone says WALK and I see the leash - foster mom says I’m a great walker and a good car dog. Last but not least, I LOVE to sleep in the bed. I’m told I’m the best bed sleeper in the house!
I’m 8 years old, but don’t let that fool you - I’m active and young at heart! The people who rescued me say I’m good with kids, and foster mom will test that soon. I’m nervous around bigger dogs, and foster mom was told I need to eat alone (I’m slow and may guard when the other piggy’s try to steal it). I’m neutered, micro chipped and POTTY TRAINED!!! Ready to go to my forever home. Please come visit me and see what a “great catch” is! Bring my future buddies so I can meet them!
If you are interested in adopting Little Man, you can fill out an application right on our website! Go to
dreamhappytails.org/adoptform.shtml. Little Man's adoption fee is $300. All adoption fees go directly to veterinary care for DREAM dachshunds. Little Man will go to his/her new home microchipped, altered, heartworm tested, and up to date on vaccinations. Most dogs' veterinary expenses are greater than our adoption fees.
DREAM is an all-volunteer rescue group, and we focus on the Atlanta, North Georgia and Savannah area. Because we are all volunteers, we can consider applications only within an hour of these areas. DREAM does not recommend purebred dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a doxie's back.
