Mindy's Story...
Mindy is one of 3 pups dropped with their mom Maggie at a rural animal control, when they were less than 2 weeks old. Mom is around 10 pounds and we expect the pups to be around 10 -15 pounds full grown. They were born around the beginning of August and will be spayed/neutered and microchipped with age appropriate puppy shots before they can go to their forever home. Adoption fee is $225.

Please contact the foster home at for an adoption application and any questions. Our dogs live in foster homes. Please contact the foster home email listed for more information and and an adoption application.

Please note, our adoptions are not done on a "first come first serve" basis. We are looking for the best possible match for our dogs and reserve the right to select or refuse an application at our discretion. CAN is a 100% volunteer-based rescue and all our volunteers have jobs, families and dogs to take care of. Thank you for your patience and understanding if we don't get back to you immediately.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mindy, a Ball Ground Chihuahua/Papillon puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Papillon for sale in Ball Ground, or seeking a Chihuahua/Papillon puppy from a breeder in Ball Ground.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ball Ground already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ball Ground breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Papillon breeders who help with Chihuahua/Papillon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ball Ground paves the way for another one to be saved.
