My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

NOTE: All our Cupids are fostered in private homes. An approved application MUST be on file before proceeding with meet-and-greet. The online application can be found at http://www.caninecupids.org/adopt-.html. **This foster will only accept applications from adopters within a 2-hour drive of the city of Milwaukee.**

Meet Harrison!
Harrison is a four-month-old chihuahua mix. He is absolutely polite. While overjoyed at being in your company, he's also very good about going into his crate and waiting for you to return! Harrison would make a perfect companion as he is unassuming and would prefer to spend most of his time curled up right next to you. Every once in awhile he does get a little wiggly and likes to zoom around, but he will always come back the moment you call. His favorite place will be by your side.

Harrison does like the company of other dogs, or is perfectly happy to be the only one. He is currently working on potty training and leash manners. Do you have a place in your heart for this dashing, sweet-hearted little fellow?

Harrison’s adoption fee is $350 and he is being fostered in southeastern Wisconsin. Because all our Cupids are fostered in private homes, an approved application (within a two-hour drive of the city of Milwaukee) MUST be on file before proceeding with a meet-and-greet. The online application can be found at http://www.caninecupids.org/adopt-.html.

Our Thoughts on Visual Breed Identification
Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable. For most of our adoptable Cupids we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We think it’s most important is to get to know each dog as an individual! We then do our best to describe each of our adoptable Cupids based on their personalities in order to determine whether they’ll make good companions based on prospective adopters’ lifestyles. Dog behavior is not exclusive to breed — it’s a complex mix of nature and nurture.
