My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gentle Companion!

Meet Ollie (Oliver), a 6-7 year old, 26 pound, tri-colored, Beagle boy who has finished his heartworm treatment and is now ready for the next step in his new life, a furever home!

Ollie's personality traits include:

Semi-playful. Since completing his heartworm treatment, he's feeling better and is starting to show signs of playfulness.
Minds well
Crate trained
Housetrained
Couch potato
Because of Ollie's deep voice, he would not be a good in an apartment
Ollie is great with other dogs and cats, comes when called and is generally a happy boy. He likes hanging with his humans and will follow me where ever I go.

Ollie's forever home wishes include:

A family. Because of his gentleness around other dog and with the cats, I think he would be fine in a home with kids. As always though, supervision is required.
Fenced yard or not! He doesn't spend much time outside unless I go out with him, and when I go in, he's right behind me. So if you don't' have a fence, no problem
Another dog because he loves other dogs and it would be good companionship. He loves his foster brother Benny and gets along great with my two female Beagles.
Medium crate because that's where he lounges. He doesn't get on furniture.
Ollie is truly a great dog who has an easy going personality. He has one issue, a weak bladder, but in the morning we all make a mad dash for the door to go out and we've worked out a routine for other times. I don't remember the last time he had an accident in the house. In addition, Ollie has been conditioned to be in his crate for up to and no longer than 8 hours.

Ollie would be a great addition to any home. You really should come meet him.

Ollie will be at the PetSmart Adoption Event in Rockford, IL on Sunday, October 18, 2015 from noon to 3 p.m. Come meet him.
