Trooper's Story...
Trooper is a 3 year old female, German Shepherd. She was featured on the News because she is a Hero. She saved her former owner from a fire but sadly her owner passed away which left Trooper not in a very good home, left to wonder in a mobile home park. Officer Russo with the City of Port Richey Police Department reached out to us for emergency Rescue Assistance. We did not hesitate and was so happy to be able to help.
Since Trooper has arrived in Rescue she is a wonderful shepherd, has high ball and prey drive. She maybe a good candidate for scent work but I am still working on her focus. Trooper loves people, listens well, has great house manners. She is good around other dogs but is better around submissive dogs. She has a high herding drive and will try and nip other dogs out of excitement. Cats unsure, no small children.
If you are interested in giving Trooper the Hero a Home or need additional information regarding our adoption process please email me direct on luvgermansheps@yahoo.com or submit an online application via our website www.k-9services.net go to Adoption Application page.

All dogs prior to going home are up to date on all vaccinations, spayed and or neutered. Application, home-check, and references must be approved prior to final adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Trooper, a Green Cove Springs German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Green Cove Springs, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Green Cove Springs.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Green Cove Springs already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Green Cove Springs breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Green Cove Springs paves the way for another one to be saved.
