Leon (Neutered)'s Story...
"Leon" is a handsome 6-year old male Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer mix who arrived at the HSOV on October 12, 2015 after he was picked up in the Marietta, Ohio area by the Washington County Dog Warden. "Leon" has a black-and-white short smooth coat, a long tail, and a noble-looking face with a dusting of white on his muzzle and short semi-erect ears. This big guy has been very friendly with our kennel techs, but he doesn't appear to like other dogs or cats :( "Leon" weighs 61 lbs. and is fairly strong on the other end of a leash but he loves to walk.. "Leon" is now available for adoption since he was not reclaimed. He was neutered on October 30, 2015 and was also given rabies vaccine.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Leon (Neutered), a Marietta Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
