Meet HONEY! This gorgeous, sweet, little girl came to us as an owner surrender. She was horribly neglected and had fleas so bad they were coming off of her like jumping beans. As a result, she was anemic, had visible raw bites all over her body, and quite a bit of hairloss. She also had rotting teeth making her jaw swell on both sides. Honey was immediately treated for parasites, started on antibiotics, and once she was feeling better she was spayed and had a dental with 11 rotting teeth getting pulled. She feels like a new lady, her hair is growing back in nicely, and her once depressed demeanor has now changed to one of joy & happiness! Honey enjoys the company of other dogs & cats and loves people. Toddlers or small children would probably overwhelm her, she would do best in a quieter home without a lot of activity.
Honey is approximately 5 yrs old & is a purebred Long-haired Dachshund. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative & dewormed. Adoption fee is $300 . The first step is to have you complete our online adoption application. All adoption appointments are scheduled after your application has been approved.
