My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Do you have the winter blahs? Well no more because here I am, Summer to cheer you up! I am a small 13” beagle weighing in at 17 lbs. I’m a sweet little girl who loves to get belly rubs and snuggle with you on the couch. And did you know that there are so many great songs out there with “Summer” in them? Foster mom is always singing them to me, I mean don’t get me wrong, she won’t be trying out for American Idol anytime soon but she sure is silly and I’m really starting to like silly. Life has been good since I started settling in at my foster home. Of course a few weeks ago it was a different story, I was scheduled to be put down right before Christmas but was rescued by the good people at BREW. 2008 my entire life has changed, now it is all about wrestling with my foster sister outside and playing tug with foster dad’s socks and most of all, being very loved by my foster family. I did come into the shelter as a stray and we know nothing about my past except that I’m very shy; it took me a few weeks to warm up to my foster parents, and I still will not come into the house unless the backdoor is open and no one is standing by it. But once I’m inside I’m lying on the couch demanding attention. Because of how shy I am it would be best I go to a home with another dog, when I see that other dogs trust people it helps me to become more trusting. And I need a home with no small children, loud noises and fast movement really scares me. I’m also almost housetrained, my biggest problem is this darn cold (even I prefer the summer over the winter), there are times I just prefer to be inside rather than out but I’m getting better at going potty outside. I actually make it through the night with no accidents. So if you feel I may be the perfect addition to your family please contact the wonderful people at BREW.

Hi everyone, I just wanted to pop in and give an update. We thought we found my forever family but unfortunately it was not a right fit. I know I’m SO cute but I do have to remind potential adopters that there will be an adjustment period, even when I came back to my foster home I have had an accidents just because I needed to adjust to a different schedule and structure of things. But my foster mom keeps telling me that when the right family comes along they will be patient because they will realize that all the work they put into me will make it all worth while and that I’m worth it! Other then that everything is going great at my foster family, I’m playing outside, barking at squirrels (I can't help it, they taunt me!), going on walks (WHICH I LOVE!), and of course getting lots & lots of belly rubs. Now only if I could find my forever home to share all my favorite things with then life would be perfect.

Well I should get going, I think I hear the leash jingling and you know what that means! As always, thanks for stopping by and checking me out.
