Here's what the humans have to say about me:
BUDDY
Born 2006, Flame Point Ragdoll
Hello, there! My name is Buddy but my foster mom thinks I should really be called “Buddy the Lion” because my loud purr actually reminds her of a lion’s roar. Then she also mentioned that “Buddy Popsicle” may be a good name for me because of my fantastic coloring that reminds her of a Cream Popsicle. Doesn’t really matter what she or my new human parent calls me, as long as I get my share of attention when I “roar” because I just so love to be petted.
I am very smart, if I may say so myself. I will let you know that I want some love by tapping your hand or your arm, whichever one I can reach with my big paw. My foster mom just smiles when I do that and then she rewards me by giving me some much desired affection.
At a little over 20 lbs, I am a big, soft, fluffy armful of love…a softy bear. Yeah, that’s it!
My original owner passed away and the family could not keep me. I have no idea why because I am such a sweet, adorable, easy-going boy, at least that’s what my foster mom thinks. Anyway, I am sure with my good looks and great purrsonality I will find someone who loves a big strapping boy and will invite me to share a home and a good meal.
My foster mom has noticed that I seem to be uncomfortable around men. I wish I could tell you what that is all about, but it’s going to be a mystery because I can’t really talk about it. She thinks I may have been mistreated by a human male. If I am lucky to find a kind and understanding kitty mom and a gentle kitty dad, it may just take me some time to get comfortable around the man in the house. I apologize for this in advance and hope this doesn’t mean that I can’t be adopted into a nice loving home.
My foster mom’s daughter was supposed to take some great pictures of my handsome self, but sadly, she is not the best photographer. (Sorry. No offense meant by this statement.) My foster mom even said, “Well, beautiful cats do not like being photographed and the pictures aren't so great”. But you can see that I am definitely a nice-looking boy with sparkly blue eyes.
Thank you for considering me. Sending big purrs from Buddy.
I am fostered in Salinas, CA.
