My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Allie is a sweet girl, who is a little too skittish around strangers for traditional adoption events or pet store display. She needs a patient adopter, who will accept that forming a bond with her will be a process that takes baby steps. Once trust is established, this bond will be a strong one and she will be your forever companion. The bond between a former feral and a human they decide to trust is one of the strongest most beautiful bonds between animal and human. Typicaly, former ferals will bond to all members of the household, but there is always one person to whom they are most strongly bonded. She may warm to friends/family who routinely visit, but will probably always hide from strangers. She will grow to love affection from her trusted humans, being pet, and sometimes even snuggling, and be handlable enough for vet visits, but will never be a fan of being held or carried around. She will enjoy places to hide and high perches and cat trees to feel most safe. Former ferals are very low maintenance and tolerate long absences and vacations well. If you are looking for an instant cuddle pal or a super playful cat who will be fun to interact with right away, this is not the cat for you. But if you want a low maintenance pet who is not demanding of your time or energy, but is a companion to be nearby, Allie could be perfect for you. Also, you truly will be saving the life of a cat who most likely would have otherwise died of disease, exposure, or accident outside. Allie is a fun cat, who will enjoy playing in her new home with mice, balls, and other toys. Allie loves to be pet and will seeknout affection, but she prefers to keep all four feet on the ground, so don't expect to pick her up.

We ask for a minimum adoption fee of $50, which will include her spay, rabies vaccine, 1st FRCVP shot, worming, and flea preventative as well as food, litter, and other medical treatment while in our care. This amount is BELOW our actual cost to do all of these things and we make no money on adoptions. She can go home immediately, pending approval and possible home inspection. The adoption fee can be paid in cash, money order, or paypal to billythekiddenrescue@gmail.com
