My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Foster location: Boise, ID

Ester came to Fuzzy Pawz Rescue after finding herself in the local animal shelter; well that is simply no place for such a lovely 8 year old girl so we placed her into a foster home.

This girl is just a doll and so great with people of all ages; her foster home loves her and can’t get over what a nice girl she is! Ester is good with kids over the age of 3; young than that and she could accidently hurt them – she doesn’t realize how big and strong she is and can easily get overly excited to see her people. Ester is an amazing family dog who will follow you around just to be with you. She loves to cuddle and really loves a good head scratch.

Ester is not good with cats; while she has never hurt one she is hyper focused on them and we believe that she has the potential to hurt one. She is pretty good with other dogs; she likes to run up and greet all that she meets; but she has a low threshold for pushy dogs and prefers to be the boss in the pack. Ester appears to do better with younger dogs that will let her be the boss or with older males who really don’t care who is in “charge”.

She may be 8 but Ester still LOVES her ball and will play fetch for hours if you let her; even if she is exhausted if you throw it she will retrieve it. Ester does like to explore and will run to sniff out things if she is not on leash or in a fenced yard; so to keep her safe we require a 6’ fenced yard for her so she can sniff and explore her surroundings safely.

She is not a chewer and appears to have no bad habits at all in the house; she’s crate trained (though she’s not fond of the practice) and is fair on a leash (but will pull and she’s strong). Ester knows sit and come; but isn’t great at stay – she’d rather be by your side then “stay” where you put her. Ester is now house trained as well.

Basically Ester is the perfect dog with a family that wants a dog to be a huge part of their family. She’s calm, patient and easy going; she just needs someone to give her some TLC and patience; oh and a few hugs.

Ester is spayed, up to date on her vaccinations and microchipped.

If you can offer her a loving forever home, please fill out an application with Fuzzy Pawz Rescue: http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ she would LOVE to meet you!

There is a $40 adoption fee for Ester
