My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Maui, a true little Chihuahua, long hair and under 7 lbs, is waiting for a new home where she won't be abandoned again. Est to be 5 to 7 years of age, she is still a bit scared, but coming around a little bit every day as she is becoming more familiar with her foster home. She loves to get on your lap and curl up into a little ball. When she's not on your lap, one way she asks for attention is with her cuteness! She will just roll over onto her back and ask you to pet her tummy. She is still learning about taking walks on a leash, because it is so curious! What is a leash? However, a trick is that when she gets to know about home, she will always walk towards home. So, the trick is that if she doesn't seem to want to walk, just start walking towards home, and she will be all over it and trot along very nicely next to you, on the leash, towards home. We are working on walking in either direction....., being a smart little girl, she will no doubt learn very soon that walks in all directions are fun. She is also getting very nicely crate trained, and will go into her little "den" to nap. She also loves the other animals too.....she is making friends with another little chi (sometimes I find them both in the crate together, all snuggled up!), and is also just fine with the cat in the house (who is bigger than she is!). If you would like more info on Maui, please email us at Dog@RescueAChihuahua.com or fill out the application to adopt on our web page www.RescueAChihuahua.com. She has had a full dental, is spayed and has all her shots along with a micro-chip.
