Fergie is an adorable 6 year old, 12 pound Shih Tzu who was surrendered by her owner because of a move to a "no dog" home. She has settled in well at her foster mom’s. She seems indifferent to the other dogs in the house. She previously lived with a cat and they got along fine. She likes walks, is completely house trained, and will take care of business while walking on a leash. She is a somewhat anxious dog and it took her a few days to relax in her foster home. But every day she gets friendlier and more affectionate. At first she spent her entire day under the bed, but now follows her foster mom from room to room and her affectionate personality comes out more every day as she feels more secure. She is fearful of new situations and loud noises, so will need a peaceful home with no small children. She is a very easy dog to live with and makes few demands. She will make somebody a fine friend and companion.
Fergie is healthy, has been spayed, is current on vaccinations, is microchipped and on heartworm and flea/tick preventative. Her adoption fee is $270.00 plus $19.64 sales tax for a total of $289.64. Her foster mom would like her adopters to live within 50 miles of the Twin Cities and would be appreciative if they would attend the annual Shih Tzu Rescue Reunion in September every year.
