My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

When Daisy first came to us, she was shaking and afraid. She would duck when we reached to pet her and run when we reached to pick her up. Now that she feels safe and loved, she has turned into a delightful little pet. She is housebroken , not at all destructive and easy to have around. Strangers who come to the house are still a little scary for her. The most endearing thing about Daisy is that she absolutely adores her family – her foster dad, mom and 12 and 14 year old girls are the center of her world. When they come home from being out, she is beside herself with joy.

Daisy also loves playing with her foster dogs. They wrestle, play chase around the fenced yard, play tug of war and then settle down for naps. Speaking of naps, if you sit down, Daisy is ready to join you to snuggle for a nap – she is the ultimate lap dog, especially if there is a soft blanket involved. At night, she’s a great bed warmer as she burrows down under the covers where she sleeps quietly.

Daisy needs someone who will continue to work with her to build her confidence and make her realize she is safe and loved for the rest of her life. Young children are probably not a great fit simply because they sometimes scare her with their boisterous ways – but she adores her 12 and 14 year old foster girls who are gentle and sweet. And the great news is she is very food motivated, very smart and eager to please her people, which is very helpful with training. She is very attentive for a treat and will sometimes do a darling little dance on her hind legs. Daisy is a dear little soul who deserves a loving stable home!

Daisy has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and tested negative for heartworms. Her adoption fee is $250.00.
