Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We'll bet you've never met a dog with a more smooshable face or bigger snore - she is guaranteed to make you laugh daily. Annie is sweet, confident, and calm with occasional spurts of energy. She appreciates your attention and will often follow you around, but also has an independent streak and is quite happy looking out a window, rolling in the grass, or napping. True to her breeds, Annie is all about following her nose and being outside is her favorite. Annie shares well with the other dogs in her home and seeks out their company. She has no interest in playing, but, if she's not out sniffing, she can almost always be found sitting or laying near them. Even though the other dogs are a little bigger and faster than her, she has no problem keeping up on walks and does so enthusiastically. We'd love to see her find a home with another calm dog to befriend.
Annie is estimated to be 8 years old and is beyond many of those sassy puppy antics; she has a calm, consistent personality and polite manners, such as no jumping or chewing on inappropriate things. Annie likes to be in the center of things, but doesn't need to be the center of attention. She does do some barking when left home alone, but is not destructive. She has joined her foster family on a few small road trips out-of-state, where everyone loved her. She has been camping, swimming (she walks in the water, not actual swimming), to outdoor restaurants, and is just a really good, easy to get along with dog who doesn't ask for much other than your care and companionship.
If you're interested in Annie, please contact her foster mom, Sara, at sara.animalheartline@gmail.com. We are a small group of caring volunteers and a home visit is a requirement of adoption, therefore local adoptions only, please (within 50 miles of Naperville, IL).
