Mattie
2 yrs old - female Calico DSH

Mattie has beautiful markings with white little feet, interesting calico markings, and a patch of white on her chest. She has splendid fall coloring!

Mattie was in desperate need. She came into the shelter with her three tiny newborn kittens. She has been a protective, wonderful, attentive momma. When Mattie's foster mom's dog came into the kitten room, she was swift to respond and the little doggie went running. Her kittens are now able to eat and fend for themselves, but she still stays near watching over them.

Mattie is an independent cat that is looking for a forever home. She has no problem with her foster mom's dogs and cats.

She is fostered in the greater Sacramento area.

She will come to you fully vetted, microchipped, spayed and tested.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mattie, a Davis Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Davis, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Davis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Davis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Davis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Davis paves the way for another one to be saved.
