My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

LEONA HAS BEEN ADOPTED!!Leona is a beautiful 1.5 year old female Sheltie/Shepherd mix in need of a loving home. This sweet little gal was surrendered to a pound in southern IL when her humans had a baby and felt they could no longer give her all the attention she needs. Leona is mild mannered girl that gets along well with everyone. Her previous owners reported she was housetrained and knows several commands. Leona will make one lucky household very happy!
Leona is currently awaiting rescue/adoption from an open intake-shelter in southern IL. Pals Place works closely with them to help place their dogs into forever homes. We would love to help her out, but all of our foster homes are filled. Pal's Place has no shelter facility and relies entirely on foster homes and paid boarding. We can only save as many dogs as we have adoptive or foster homes for! If interest is shown in her, Leona can be transported to Chicago. She will be fully vetted and prepared for adoption or a foster home. If seriously interested in possibly adopting or fostering (fosters must be in or very near Chicago) this deserving girl, please email Palsplace1@hotmail.com**PLEASE NOTE: IF INTERESTED IN FOSTERING YOU MUST BE IN CHICAGO OR IN A NEIGHBORING SUBURB**

•Leona's adoption donation is $275. This donation helps to cover her spay, initial vaccines, initial worming and microchip. Pal's Place relies solely on donations to care for the pets in our care. Your donation also helps save other animals like Leona from euthanasia.

• Please email Palsplace1@hotmail.com for an adoption application and please put the name of the dog in the subject line. Please be sure to check your spam/junk folder; sometimes the applications end up in there!

• All of our dogs are in foster homes are can be seen BY APPOINTMENT ONLY, after an approved application has been received. To receive more info please email palsplace1@hotmail.com. Email is the preferred method of contact and is the quickest way to receive a response. We cannot place holds on our dogs, please do not contact us until you are prepared to adopt.
