My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Sweet Pea and I’m a 1- to 2-year-old Jack Russell Terrier mix and a new mom who is as sweet as my name suggests. I was rescued from an animal control shelter where my number had come up on the euthanasia list due to my pregnancy. Within a couple days of arriving in Edisto, I delivered a litter of four pups. Unfortunately, the birth was premature and only one pup survived. Now that he is weaned and very much his own little man, it’s time for me to find my forever family to enjoy life with. I’m a very loving, devoted little dog and get so excited when my people come to care for me and shower me with attention. I walk well on leash and enjoy strolls with the other pups at the shelter. I should be an indoor pet — imagine us snuggling on the couch together— and would need to be on a leash or in a fenced yard when outside. I’m healthy, up to date on all shots, heartworm negative and soon will be spayed. If interested in meeting me please email martowe514@gmail.com or call Margaret at 843-869-3869. Thank you for taking the time to read my story. I look forward to meeting you.

Please give Sweat Pea the loving forever home with lots of TLC that she deserves. Your first step in adopting her is to fill out an adoption application. All information on the application must be completed including phone numbers and a vet reference (an old one, or a reason why there is not one) before it will be processed. Please contact Margaret at 843-869-3869 or martowe514@gmail.com for an adoption application.
