Meet sweet Siara! Siara is a 3 year old Hound mix. We think she may be mixed with Cocker Spaniel, but we are not really sure. What we are sure of is that she is a pretty little girl with the most loving eyes you'll ever see!
Poor Siara was abandoned in a building when her owner was evicted. She was taken to the shelter in Manhattan. She was not doing well in there. The loud noises frightened her. When her foster mom saw her beautiful face, she knew that she needed to give Siara the chance to bloom. Siara was very happy to get out of the shelter. She greeted her foster family with lots of wags and kisses. She was very thin when she arrived in her foster home. She is putting on weight and she will probably end up weighing between 25 and 30 pounds.
Siara is a shy little girl. She tends to be very cautious when meeting new people. She often hides behind her foster mom or dad, but once she knows you are her friend, she will warm up to you. She just needs a little time. Siara seems to really like children. She loves the 9 year old child that she lives with in her foster home. She likes to play chase with him! Because Siara is a little timid, we feel she would do best in a home with children who are 8 years old or older. Siara adores her foster mom and dad. She loves to play with them, and she always follows them around the house. Her favorite thing to do is to snuggle close to them. Siara is also good with the other calm dogs that live in her foster home. She enjoys greeting other dogs, but if they are too forward, she will correct them.
Siara is a silly girl. She will run around the house; and she can be very clumsy. She keeps her foster family laughing! She enjoys going for walks and playing fetch with her toys. Siara needs a family who will give her the time to warm up and a family who will promise to love her forever.
