Pongo's Story...
This little cutie is a Yellow Beagle mix. We know mom is a Yellow Beagle (2nd picture above), but the puppy daddy snuck away in the night without telling us what he looked like. Mom was with her babies for the first two weeks, but then left one night and never came back. We were heartbroken to hear this as we know she was a good mom and would not have left her babies willingly, so something bad must have happened to her. After two days of waiting for mom, these babies were brought to JoJo's and bottle fed by an amazing foster mom until they were old enough to eat on their own. They are thriving and growing and will be available for adoption when they are 8 weeks old on December 7th.

If you are interested in giving this sweet baby a home, please email jojosdogrescue @gmail.com and we will send you an application. Adoption fee is $250 and includes age-appropriate vaccinations and parasite-free. Thanks for choosing adoption!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pongo, a Gallatin Beagle/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Labrador Retriever for sale in Gallatin, or seeking a Beagle/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Gallatin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gallatin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gallatin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Beagle/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gallatin paves the way for another one to be saved.
