Timmy's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Timmy's Story...
Timmy is a wonderful boy and is active and bouncy for his age of 9. He still romps and plays with the other greyhounds in his foster home. Timmy was in a home for 3 years and returned due to the couple's lack of income. He was living with 2 other large dogs and really would do best in a home with another dog that could play with him. He is just about as perfect as they come; however, we do feel that he should be in a home with another dog and not as an only dog.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Timmy, a Lexington Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound for sale in Lexington, or seeking a Greyhound dog from a breeder in Lexington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lexington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lexington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound breeders who help with Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lexington paves the way for another one to be saved.
