Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Foster Location: Boise, ID
Awe sweet boy Fin is one lucky guy! A Fuzzy Pawz Rescue volunteer noticed him hanging around her house about in November and started feeding him. Didn't seem like the normal feral cats she feeds as he spent a lot of time out in the open and watching her. Some soft gentle words and some yummy food and Fin realized that indoors with a stranger was much better than outdoors in the freezing cold! We searched for his people but none were found so we have placed him in our foster care program.
We believe Fin is a Norwegian Forest Cat mix and as such is one long legged big boy! He is currently a bit underweight at 8 pounds (should be 12 at least); but he is now eating a steady/healthy diet and the weight will come back quickly. He is also missing some muscle mass (normal when they are very thin) but we are working on that with play time. Vet check says he is healthy and about 7 years old, FIV and FeLV negative and very healthy.
It is a true pleasure to pet Fin with his long bunny soft fur and sweet demeanor; he loves it when you stroke him from head to tail. He readily comes to you for affection and we recently found out that he loves kids; the minute they sit on the floor he will crawl in their laps for loves. We know he would love to sleep on a bed with his people; sitting on the couch with a good book or a movie is always a favorite also. We know that with a bit more time in a home that is all his own Fin will do nothing but blossom!
Fin will be fine with another cat in the household; but it should be older and/or calm; he doesn’t do well with the young hyper cat in his foster home; but he and the older female are fine around each other. While we have not had Fin around dogs we think he would do fine with again an older/calm animal that will let him have his space. Fin will need to have proper structured intros into any home with other pets to cut down on stress and facilitate a good outcome.
If you are looking for a handsome boy that wants and needs to be loved and you want a cat that has a ton of love to give please consider giving Fin not just a place in your home but a place in your heart, you won’t regret it.
