"Cookie is a 9 yr. old female beagle that needs to find a new home; her owner is in the hospital and will not be able to take care of her due to long-term needs. She weighs approx. 36 lbs and is a little overweight, so her movements are a bit slow. She does, however, get excited when she sees something from afar while on a walk, such as a squirrel or chipmunk. Cookie has never had interactions with cats, but is very gentle and friendly with humans and dogs and likes to play when it is initiated.

"Cookie does not have any serious medical conditions and is up-to-date with all her vaccinations. She does have a benign growth on her lower eyelid which does not affect her sight. She also has a history of a chronic cough, which might partially be caused by her weight. She is a bit food-centered, so it is important to keep edible things out of her reach. She likes to receive attention, but will also cuddle with you and just lie down if that is what you are doing."
