My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Brady is a 4 year old Shih Tzu who is looking for his special person. He weighs about 15 lbs. Brady is a special dog who has some fear issues. He wags his tail and is extremely friendly with most people, but sometimes he gets spooked. He has been very friendly, but also timid with his foster mom who is going slow with him and letting him adjust to life outside the shelter. He is mostly housetrained.

Brady has come a long way since coming out of the shelter. He really loves the company of his foster mom and gets so excited to see her! He is very food motivated and loves the training treats he is getting. He likes to be near his foster mom and has been great with the resident dog in the house. Brady is looking for a special adopter who can show him all of the great things he has missed out on, and give him the time and patience to blossom into the confident dog we know he can be.

Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.
