My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Genie and I’m a gentle 3-year-old hound looking for a family to love and protect. I’m currently fostering with a family that includes two other dogs and a cat, and we all get along beautifully. My foster parents call me a “precious doll” because I’m so affectionate and sweet. I can run and play like a puppy, but I also enjoy chilling on the couch and snuggling in my kennel. I’m a little on the shy side and definitely not an alpha dog, but my hunting instinct kicks in when I sense deer or other intruders afoot, which is about the only time I bark. No baying for me, just a pleasant-sounding bark. Also no chewing on furniture or items other than my toys and I let my people know when I need to go out for a potty break.
