Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Princess Nicole. 2 yr old Norwegian Forest Cat. (Or Maine Coon mix.)
Nicole came to the shelter as a stray. However, when they scanned for a microchip, up popped her name. The shelter attempted to contact her previous owners; obviously, someone cared enough to chip her, name her, and register the chip. Sadly, no one came to claim Nicole. The Rescue Coordinator was so enamored with her that she asked our volunteer to come and look at her. Even though her shelter photo was less than stellar, one of our foster moms agreed to look at her. Just like the Rescue Coordinator, the foster mom fell head over heels in love as soon as she saw the little Princess.
Princess is just that, a fluffy, precious princess. She is so pretty that it's hard to get an accurate photograph. She looks like she should be drawn as a cartoon; she hardly even looks real. Although small for the breed, every thing else about her just screams purebred cat. (We labeled her a "mix" only because she is petite -- about 10-12 lbs.) This kitty has a full, dreamy, silky coat with a huge front ruff. She has rich eyes, and the perfect profile for the breed.
"The Princess" has the personality to match the looks with just the right amount of Diva in her to let other cats know that she is aware of how special she is. She wants to be a lap kitty and will allow you to pick her up and carry her around. She willingly goes to strangers and is getting used to the dogs in her foster home. One thing she's not fond of, however, is the other cats. We think she is aware of just how special she is and feels that a princess such as she should have a special station in life. She wants an entire pile of human servants and thinks there won't be enough pampering to go around if she is forced to demean herself by living with other cats. That said, she is currently "surviving" in a household with several other cats and her world has yet to end.
