My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello Lab Lovers! My name is Ariel and I am a spayed, 90-lb, black, 1 year old Lab mix that is looking for my forever home!

I came into SCLRR as my family fell ill and could no longer care for me. Since coming into SCLRR, I have received training to manage my puppy ways. Being a pup means I can get really excited at times. My training has taught me to not jump on people just because I’m happy to see them, to sit quietly when asked, to take treats in a down position, and to wait patiently for my food. As a bonus I am house broken and crate trained. Mostly, I just prefer to be right next to you as we relax.

Because I’m such a social chick, my foster parents have made it a point to take me everywhere. Check out my video!! I am very good in busy environments, just happy to be around people cruising and enjoying the day like me. In foster care, I am taken often to the dog park by my foster dad, and for beach walks where I meet nice people who are charmed by my waggy tail and happy demeanor. To help with my travel, I load all by myself into the car and I sit quietly while traveling. I like going to the park to play with others and keep my distance from dogs that are not as friendly as I but I can still be found going from person to person to find some love and pets.

Oh, and did I tell you how great I am with all animals, large and small? Yup, more video!! Even the horses like to play tag with me!! I am curious when meeting all new animal friends, yet I am very trustworthy and the most submissive love you may ever meet! I have not been cat tested however my foster parent believes I am fully capable based on my submissive demeanor.

Did I tell you how much I love children? Yup, more video!! However because I am 90 lbs and can get too waggy tail when around the little ones, my foster parents have decided it’s best I reside with older children only who are capable of handling my excited licks and love! You can also substitute children by matching me with your resident dog. Because I am so playful, I am best suited for a dog that likes to play, like me. I love to play and will provide many years of loyalty and friendship to my dog buddy or human. I am young so it would be great if my new family is outdoors active, and is willing to continue my training and provide me with plenty of exercise and love! I promise to give you lots of laughs, and to be your best companion ever.

If I sound like the dog for you, please give your Family Rep a ring and let them know that you would love to meet me because I am waiting to meet you.
