My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

At 13 years old, Nemo finds himself in need of a new home. This little long-haired dachshund is a bit upset at the prospect of being homeless, but he's trying real hard to stay in good spirits and is hoping that some wonderful person will find it in their hearts to look past his age and give him the comfortable, loving home that he should have. Nemo was turned in by his owner because they were moving to a home where only two dogs were allowed, and Nemo was not one of the two chosen to go along. Nemo is a mellow, calm, well behaved little guy. He has some age-related arthritis and a mild heart murmur but is in great shape otherwise. He is very spunky and spry, and he gets around very well. He enjoys going for walks and trots along, checking out everything around him. When he went for a spa day, Nemo actually hopped up the stairs into our grooming van, so he doesn't let a few achy joints hold him back. Nemo enjoys snuggling up next to you but prefers not to be picked up, probably due to his arthritis. He is very sweet and affectionate when he gets to know you and very gentle too. Nemo gets along fine with other well behaved, mellow dogs but will need a home with no small children. This adorable little guy is hoping for a short stay with us and to get into a happy, comfortable home where he will be loved for the rest of his life. File#25875 1/2/16
