Jae's Story...
Jae could not be any sweeter if he were made of a can of chocolate frosting folks, really. This bubbly ball of sweetness is about 3 years old and came to us from our Newark facility after he was picked up as a stray with his friend Petey. Jae was all smiles and butt wiggles from the moment he walked through our doors and he has not stopped making friends ever since. Jae has the personality and temperament of a tiny, fluffy puppy, only he is not, and we hope that people will not look at the stigma attached to his breed and instead look at this lovable lump that just wants to pull his big butt up into your lap and stay there. Jae had some training and direction in his life at some point because he is very well behaved. Although he is strong, he walks well on a leash and is very gentle. He is active and playful but also quite content to just snuggle up on a blanket and lay next to you. Jae gets along well with most dogs he meets and was very playful with his friend Petey. He just adores people of all ages and would bring joy into the lives of any great family that can give him the good home he's dreaming of. File#25822 11/2/15

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jae, a Forked River American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Forked River, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Forked River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Forked River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Forked River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Forked River paves the way for another one to be saved.
