Gingerbread's Story...
Please excuse the laziness of seems we disturbed her afternoon nap in order to get her pictures. She actually didn't mind much and besides, who ever heard of a young and spunky kitten napping the day away? Gingerbread is only 5 months old and this petite little lady is ready for a fabulous home of her own to nap and play in. Gingerbread was wandering around, looking for someone to spend the holidays with when she was picked up as a stray right before Christmas. She was a bit shy and unsure at first but now, all you need to do is be gentle with her and show her a little attention, and she practically melts. With just a little scratch behind her ears she gets her purr going, and if you roll a ball to her, she will muster up the energy to bat it around for a while. She is very mellow and laid back, and she seems to be just fine with other cats too. Gingerbread is hoping for a great home with a loving family to care for her and spoil her forever. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gingerbread, a Forked River Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Forked River, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Forked River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Forked River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Forked River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Forked River paves the way for another one to be saved.
