My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We have a pink white male chinchilla that is looking for his new home. He came to NWI a bit ago, and we estimate he was born 8/15/2015. This makes him around 4 months old, and now is a great time for him to go to his new home and bond with his new family.

This male’s color is called pink white. Sometimes this color, especially with markings, is also known as a beige mosaic. Most pink whites are mostly white with some beige coloration on them, but this boy is quite unique! He has a dark beige spot on his back and butt – not something you see everyday! He’s definitely something special. Kinda neat marking. The rest of him is white.

His eyes are actually a dark ruby color – they look almost black in person. The reason they look red on the photos is because we used a flash to take the photos. They don’t look this color in real life. The first picture is the most true-to-life photo as far as the color of his eyes.

He’s a good chin. Pretty easy to catch and he does well with being held and petted. He actually seems to like being petted, and he sits reasonably well in your arms when you’re holding him. He’s a sweet boy. Doesn’t bite. He’s always at the front of the cage checking everything out, very outgoing. Nice boy.

This chinchilla is currently living alone, and we do not know if he gets along with other chinchillas. If you are curious as to whether he might get along with your, or one of our, chinchillas, let us know and we’ll see what we can do.

This chinchilla would make a good “first chinchilla” for someone who’s never had chinchillas before.

This chinchilla will come with some food to start you out (2 pounds of Tradition pellets), a goodie bags of chews/treats, and a printed out version of our care packet. He will also come with a lifetime of help and support, should you ever need it. If more supplies are needed, we also sell a variety of chinchilla supplies, from cages to hidey houses to hammocks and everything in between.

Regardless of past chinchilla experience, all potential homes will be asked to read our chinchilla care packet, fill out our adoption application/chinchilla questionnaire, and provide proof of cage. If you are unwilling to do these things, please do not waste our time or yours. No chinchilla will go to a new home without an adoption application being filled out - no exceptions.

This chinchilla is located in Hammond, Indiana (zip code 46324). Sorry, but we do not ship.

Normally, this pink white male would be $175 to adopt, but due to our Fabulous February sale, his adoption fee is now reduced to $150! Must be picked up or have a deposit down by Feb 29th. No other discounts apply.
