Hi my name is Lucinda. I am a 7 year old black and tan (with a frosty face) female Dachshund. I am a true love bug. I love to snuggle close and right up against you so you can rub my belly! I love to sleep in the bed under the covers, as beauty sleep is important to look as good as I do. I stay in shape by playing with toys and it keeps me young at heart. Recently I was over weight but I went to boot camp and now I am a rockin 11.5 pounds. My health has improved dramatically since I lost all the weight, but I have been diagnosed with Cushings. It will be a pill each day with some follow up bloodwork, but I can live a normal life if my meds are kept up. My foster mom says I am a good girl and a lot of fun, but I know she is working hard on trying to house train me. I just get so excited when everyone goes outside that sometimes I run right back in and then oops I have an accident. If she watches me outside and makes sure I go potty then I do pretty good when I'm inside. If you would like me to complete your family, please fill out my application below.

dreamhappytails.org/adoptform.shtml. Lucinda 's adoption fee is $300. All adoption fees go directly to veterinary care for DREAM dachshunds. Lucinda will go to his/her new home microchipped, altered, heartworm tested, and up to date on vaccinations. Most dogs' veterinary expenses are greater than our adoption fees.
DREAM is an all-volunteer rescue group, and we focus on the Atlanta, North Georgia and Savannah area. Because we are all volunteers, we can consider applications only within an hour of these areas. DREAM does not recommend purebred dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a doxie's back.
