McQueen's Story...

Handsome McQueen is a 5 year old boy with a chiseled jawline, luxurious gray coat, and piercing bright green eyes. Sadly, he arrived at the shelter because the resident cat he moved in with didn't want another cat in the house. The good news is that we know he gets along with dogs and cats, and is a great big love! This striking guy enjoys affection, playtime and winding down in a nice cozy bed. He’s looking for a home where he can count on being treated like family! He’s already used to getting his nails trimmed and having his long coat brushed- a very important practice to prevent matting and help with shedding. He’ll make a loving addition to any home that promises him forever! What’dya say, will you take the leap?!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

McQueen, a Truckee Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Truckee, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Truckee.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Truckee already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Truckee breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Truckee paves the way for another one to be saved.
