My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Christmas is a 14 pound, 3 year old Bichon-Poodle mix who was actually rescued by a veterinarian at an Ultrasound seminar. She was one of the “stray” patients from a shelter and was used for demonstration purposes. He felt that she couldn’t go back to the shelter and called Small Paws Rescue to take her in for fostering and adoption. This sweet and loving little lady will make some family a great “after holiday” present.
Christmas is mostly tan in color and was previously groomed like a poodle. But her hair is growing out nicely and she will be groomed differently; more bichon-like. She is housebroken and up-to-date with all of her vaccinations, including the two doses of the H3N2 (flu vaccine.) She is also microchipped, just waiting for a new family to register her!
She loves toys, toys and more toys. She amuses herself with them or plays with the humans in the house. She gets along with her foster fur siblings, too. (2 Bichons and a cat) She is very good with children, very gentle. Mostly, Christmas loves to cuddle in a lap, give kisses, or have her belly rubbed.
If she will be walked, leashing is not a problem. She has taken to the snow in Illinois very well and loves to run and “nose” around in it.
Christmas is being fostered in Illinois for Small Paws Rescue. She needs another dog in the home or someone that is home most of the time.

Donations are greatly appreciated for her care. If you would like to donate, please click here
