Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Tucker is a 10-11 year old pit mix who weighs about 60 pounds. Poor Tucker has just never been able to find a family who loves him unconditionally and can make a commitment to him!
Tucker is a very laid back guy who enjoys lounging in the sun, napping and watching TV. He is also happy to go for runs or chase balls around the yard. Tucker does not care for other animals and does take his possessions at little too seriously at times. He would be successful in a quiet, adult only home where he can play when he wants to play and relax when he wants to relax. He is house trained and has very good house manners.
A reduced adoption fee of $100 does apply for Tucker, our seniors, special medical and behavioral needs dogs and other "slow to adopt" dogs!
Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all- volunteer, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and are scheduling individual adoptions in the Waynesboro, VA area during the pandemic. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
