Here's what the humans have to say about me:
FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID
Scooter is a tiny little Pomeranian who weighs in at a whopping 5.5 pounds. This 9 year old boy has a heart of gold and a huge zest for life. Sadly Scooter and 2 other senior Pomeranian’s were placed in an Idaho shelter when their human was sent to a nursing home.
This fun little guy has a ton of energy and is one happy dog; who’s constantly looking for the fun in things. He is easy going most of the time (though not a fan of being picked up) and just happy to be where you are and do what you are doing.
He is great with other dogs and is so-so with cats! He likes to play so another little dog in his house would be perfect; but be warned he will think he needs to play with the cat as well.
Scooter recently had a dental cleaning and had to have all of his teeth pulled so he is eating soft food now. Other than his teeth he is in good health; though he should be on a high quality food to help his coat recover after eating very low grade food most of his life.
This adorable boy is house trained and sort of kennel trained (he’ll go in there but doesn’t like it much). He’d love to just be wherever you are (your lap is a good spot) or laying on a dog bed near you or of course playing chase with the other dogs. He does enjoy going for walks daily; not long ones but he likes to get out and about. Due to his size we require no kids in the home younger than 10. He would do best in a home with another little dog for him to play with. We also require a secure 6’ fence for this little guy; he loves to run in the yard but can climb like a monkey.
Scooter is just a lovely boy with nice manners who would make someone a great companion for many years to come.
If you can offer this senior boy a loving home please complete an adoption application at http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/
Scooter has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
