Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Candace is a 4 year old spayed female sable collie. Candace loves people, kids and is good with other dogs. She is also good with chickens! It says in her paper work she is good with cats too, but I have not tested this.
Candace seems to be completely house broken. I do not crate her at night and she has not had one accident. She does like to chew just a little (on my son's LEGOs) so a few chew bones laying around is all you need to keep her happy.
Candace has the sweetest, most gentle personality. She is well mannered in the house and keeps all four feet on the floor at all times. She does not get on furniture and sleeps quietly all night. She does have a slight fear of walking UP stairs. Going down doesn't seem to bother her, but when going up she needs some encouragement and coaxing and praise.
Candace like many collies does like to bark quite a bit when outside in my yard but also calms down quickly. Her leash training isn't perfect yet but it's coming along. She is a super sweet gentle dog. She is looking for the perfect loving home.
Candace is being fostered in Arkansas
If you are interested in this dog, please submit an application on our website. Our organization is run by volunteers and it is hard for them to answer all the emails that come in about dogs. Once we receive your application, an interviewer will call you and try to answer any additional questions you may have. Our application can be found at http://www.tristatecollierescue.org/ under the adopt tab. Thank you.
