Orange Chicken's Story...
Orange Chicken is not a chicken, but he is Orange! Tabby, that is, with a little white here and there. Orange Chicken has lots of long white whiskers and a cute pink nose. He's a three year old darling boy who recently lost his home. He looks serious in the pictures, but that is just to get your attention. Orange Chicken is super-sweet and loves to sit on a lap and cuddle. He also likes to be held and adores the sound of a soft voice. He is good with other cats and is ready to move in and start playing and hanging out with a new family. Orange Chicken is waiting patiently for his new family (and his new name!)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Orange Chicken, a Sherman Oaks American Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Shorthair for sale in Sherman Oaks, or seeking a American Shorthair cat from a breeder in Sherman Oaks.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sherman Oaks already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sherman Oaks breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Shorthair breeders who help with American Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sherman Oaks paves the way for another one to be saved.
